The Ska band The Originals have been Arthur Kay's and the late Judge Dread's backing band since the 70's. Both his parents were musicians and he was raised listening to gospel music. A specific series of notes is also utilized in the blues. In this way, jazz is different from classical music which is written down (composed) ahead of time and played the way the composer wrote it. The 'SuperBand' is comprised of 'Superstars' who only get together as such, for special occasions' and the Jazz Cruise is always a 'Special Occasion'!
